This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working (in our London office every Tuesday and the first Thursday of every month), 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a fantastic pension scheme offering 6% in year one and 11% after this.
Salary £25,432 per annum.
This is an apprenticeship Level 5 Journalism.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Maths and English:
- GCSE Grade 4 (or 'C')
- A-level/equivalent level, grade ‘C' or above
- A demonstrable interest in consumer research and factual storytelling.
- Ability to write consistently good copy and accurate copy.
- Able to analyse basic data sets in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Please note that if you are successful, you will need to attend the following dates at the PA Media Offices: 61 Queen Street, London, EC4R 1EB (no other dates are available):
- Onboarding day: 1 September
- A two-week onboarding/training period: beginning on 7 September

About the role
Do you have a passion for consumer research, a flair for factual storytelling, and a strong desire to help consumers make the best choices?
We are looking for a Junior Researcher/Writer (Apprentice) to join our Product Testing project teams, bringing a clear consumer perspective to everything we do.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and research: Work alongside senior colleagues to plan and undertake high-quality research and writing projects across the department.
- Create Consumer Content: Produce engaging, accurate, and well-written copy for various channels, and ensure existing content is regularly reviewed and updated.
- Tell Digital Stories: Use emerging digital storytelling techniques—such as social media formats and short-form video—to deliver impactful content to our audiences.
- Drive Performance: Help ensure our online content hits key performance goals, including traffic, sign-ups, and affiliate journeys.
About you:
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in consumer research and factual storytelling. If you have a collaborative mindset, an openness to constructive feedback, and the ability to bring a clear consumer perspective to any subject, you will be a great fit for this role.
Desirable skills
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage simultaneous tasks, prioritise your own workload and deliver on time.
- Build and maintain internal relationships throughout the organisation.
- Ability to bring a consumer perspective to any subject.
- Open to constructive feedback and a willingness to iterate working practices
The interview process for this role involves:-
one hour TEAMS video interview with two team members from the Product Testing team.
Interviews are expected to commence from July 13th
